Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 2026
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how BaciScout (operated by Bacimo s.r.o., "we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website baciscout.bacimo.net (the "Service"). This policy is provided in accordance with the EU ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation 2016/679).
By using the Service, you consent to the use of cookies as described in this policy. You can withdraw or modify your consent at any time through your browser settings or our cookie consent banner.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognize your device and remember information about your visit, such as your preferences, login state, or items in a shopping cart. Cookies do not contain viruses and cannot access data on your hard drive beyond the information you have voluntarily shared.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
We categorize our cookies into the following categories. Only Essential cookies are mandatory — all others require your explicit consent.
| Category | Purpose & Cookies Used |
|---|---|
|
Essential Required (cannot be disabled) |
These cookies are necessary for the Service to function
and cannot be disabled. They enable core functionality
such as security, authentication, and session management.
|
|
Analytics Optional (requires consent) |
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact
with the Service, allowing us to improve usability and
performance. BaciScout uses privacy-respecting,
cookieless analytics (PostHog with localStorage), so
these cookies are only used if third-party analytics
is enabled.
|
|
Marketing Optional (requires consent) |
These cookies may be set by advertising partners to build a profile of your interests and show relevant content on other sites. BaciScout does not currently use marketing cookies. |
4. Session Duration
Your session cookie (sessionid) persists for
14 days from your last activity, after which you will
be automatically logged out. Each login establishes a maximum of
3 concurrent sessions per account for security.
5. Third-Party Services
We use carefully selected third-party services that may set their own cookies when you interact with them. These include:
- Stripe — payment processing (sets
__stripe_mid,__stripe_sid) - jsDelivr / cdnjs — CDN hosting for JavaScript libraries (no tracking cookies)
- PostHog — product analytics (uses localStorage, not cookies — GDPR-compliant)
A full list of subprocessors is available in our Subprocessor List.
6. Managing Cookies
You have several options for managing cookies:
- Cookie consent banner — Accept or reject non-essential cookies when first visiting the Service.
- Browser settings — Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Refer to your browser's help documentation.
- Clearing cookies — You can delete cookies already stored on your device at any time.
Please note: Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in or using core Service functionality.
7. Your GDPR Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you (data export)
- Request erasure of your personal data (account deletion)
- Object to processing and withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
For more information, see our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legislation, or our business practices. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
